Kids had a fantastic day yesterday at the Mental Health & Confidence Workshop in Batley yesterday.
Huge shout out to Coach Bilal who through his new Goalacticos initiative put this together at the Purge Boxing Academy.
Everyone had a great time and this was a huge success.
Inspiration coming from rugby player turned boxer Brandon Pickup, and future boxing superstar (who’s already making waves as a champion at 14) Azaan Hussain.
Excellent support from the rest of the team, including Jerome Wilson.
With special guest appearance from TikTok/Insta stars Shab & Eisa who equally are doing phenomenal work for the Down Syndrome community.
I’ve been struggling to get my 6 year old passionate about anything…
…he hasn’t put his (older brother’s) boxing gloves down since the workshop.
The individual attention he got from Brandon and Azaan in particular did wonders for his confidence and happiness, as did knocking me out in the ring 😂
