Alright franzap (npub1wf4…dgh9), I've been thinking about what we talked yesterday:
- Windows is out of the question, signing makes it difficult.
- MacOS is not currently a gaming platform.
- Now Linux... there's a couple things that I hadn't considered yesterday:
Linux nowadays is much more compatible with games since it has several tools such as modern versions of Wine, dxvk, and SteamOS itself. Valve has put (and is putting) a lot of effort on making Linux a compat. gaming platform, and by a lot I mean A LOT (they even produced hardware with Linux/SteamOS preinstalled for gaming, look for the SteamDeck).
Plus Linux has a great share of anti-censorship buddies built-in in the community.
So, in order to capitalize the Collective Shout+VISA/Mastercard Censorship drama, I'd make sure that the ZapStore is fully compatible with Linux, and I'd use SteamOS as the test environment.
Cheers!!
