While I do believe certain values were ‘built in’ to bitcoin, which when taken together and beheld by our minds does represent a kind of ‘ethic’, what I was referring to here was speculating as to what would ‘come through’ our minds, when it is no longer (or much less) influenced by the various algorithms/incentive structures of our digital environments (and beyond) today. When information, identity and transactability are ‘set free’, what happens to our minds? Among other things I expect it too will experience a type of liberation, or at a minimum a far greater degree of clarity. In this state, what ‘comes through’? What is the experience of the mind unshackled by ‘illusion’ or absent the co-option by the will and ends (‘corrupting incentive structures’) of others? In the extreme, what IS that force of pure awareness? Is it ‘closer’ to god? Does it permit a ‘more fundamental’ force to emerge in our minds and manifest through our actions? Seems like it to me. I’m not saying that the manner in which nostr might ‘set information and identity free’ will directly result in such a circumstance or state, but it’s seeming more and more apparent to me that it could serve as a powerful or useful contributor or catalyst to such a state (more and more as it develops), in both conscious and unconscious ways, over the course of time, in a manner that scales to a huge number of people, by virtue of the incentives involved.
