Modern Islam is somewhat of an invention of 2 different Jewish cults and Western intelligence that infiltrated Islam at some point. You had no suicide martyrdom stuff until the 80s and 90s when puppet terror regimes started using these methods instructed by their CIA and Mossad handlers.
In both Sunni and Shia you have many communities following the Sufi path which has never had any affiliation with terrorism and they make out about 20% of Islamic practitioners. Their extremists are blowback for Western nations messing in the affairs of Arab nations for Israel.
