Here's the thing. I think most men delete themselves over how they are perceived by a women. Rarely would they do it otherwise unless their continued existence might cause danger for those around them, or an exaggerated sense of what it means to become poor. What happens as you get older is you realize you need very little to be happy and women's souls are so dark and wicked that it's a wonder the value of their opinion carried any weight at all. It turns out to be the blinding illusion of the Anima, which is a woman that does not exist, not even the Mother Mary. A woman's opinion of the man should have never had any impact in the first place. That's when you become immune to the death disease.
