Aldi opens in 90 minutes from now. I need olive oil. Sure, my preferred supermarket has a dozen brands in grades from extra virgin to basic trollop, but Aldi's standard offering is at least $6 cheaper than other general purpose olive oils and it does the job. That's if the job is just starting things off at the browning-things-in-oil stage. And who knows what cut-price marvels the centre aisle will reveal to me this morning?
