Follow lists

NIP-02 explains how your follow list is stored on Nostr. Instead of one app secretly keeping the list of people you follow, your account can publish that list as a normal Nostr event that other clients understand.

That means switching apps does not have to mean starting your social life from zero. It is a bit like carrying your address book with you: a new app can read who you follow and help rebuild your feed around the same people.
