Seed phrase key generation

NIP-06 explains how a Nostr private key can be created from a mnemonic seed phrase. This gives wallets and apps a shared way to restore the same identity from backup words.

NIP-06 is one of the small agreements that lets different Nostr apps understand the same kind of activity. In everyday terms, it is like agreeing on the shape of a form: once everyone uses the same form for seed phrase key generation, people can move between apps without losing the meaning of what they created.
