NIP-11

Relay information documents

NIP-11 lets a relay publish an information document about itself. That document can include the relay name, description, contact details, supported features, limits, and policies.

It is like a noticeboard on the front door of a relay. Before an app relies on that relay, it can read the noticeboard to understand what the relay can do and whether it has any special rules.
