Versioned encryption

NIP-44 defines a modern encrypted payload format for Nostr. It gives apps a shared way to encrypt private content so only the intended people can read what is inside.

For users, this is one of the building blocks behind safer private messages and other private data. It is less about a visible button and more about making sure different clients encrypt and decrypt in the same careful way.
