NIP-62

Request to vanish

NIP-62 lets a user ask relays to remove their events. Like deletion requests, it is a request that cooperative relays can honor, not a universal eraser.

NIP-62 is one of the small agreements that lets different Nostr apps understand the same kind of activity. In everyday terms, it is like agreeing on the shape of a form: once everyone uses the same form for request to vanish, people can move between apps without losing the meaning of what they created.
