NIP-94

File metadata

NIP-94 defines file metadata events. These events describe uploaded files, including their URL, type, size, hash, and related information.

For users, it helps files become more than mystery links. A client can understand what a file is before opening it, show useful previews, and connect uploads to Nostr posts or profiles.
