Not sure if Quantoom is just FUD or if it’s also a natural response from influencoors trying to stay relevant as they realize they built a brand around something BORING.
Money is boring to the average person- especially sound money as it matures. **That’s EXACTLY what it’s supposed to be**. Not some dopamine fueled fiat casino. Bitcoin was cool for a bit while it had some volatility and hacker vibes but let’s be honest: as this thing matures and stabilizes it picks up Dad Energy™️ real fast.

Saying every form of drinking is degeneracy or calling everyone in the business a “poison dealer” flattens the whole story and ignores the evolutionary, social, economic, and cultural roles fermentation has played throughout history. The real problem is that modern alcohol is engineered for potency and overuse in ways we didn’t evolve to handle.

Maybe I’m weird but I actually appreciate ads in some specific contexts. Like a niche topic magazine- I’m grateful to learn who the best gear suppliers for rock climbing are in an outdoors magazine for example. Beautiful, clever and relevant ads woven into the print from trusted brands can actually make the media better. I believe if we can recreate the incentives of physical media (no eyeball tracking possible, more risk on the advertiser, limited ROI/“click” data) and Make Ads Great Again using freedom tech.

Sober analysis. I’d add: Nostr doesn’t have to ONLY be a backup/ripcord option. Paid subs for valuable content and/or services can exist here too. Heck, ads (sans deceptive design patterns) can even exist here too in certain contexts.
