It is not that unusual to have to deal with this sort of protest. Feminists and etc. do this with some regularity. Social media makes it more popular because it results in a cool video.
The church doors are open and everyone is welcome to come inside and remain, so long as they are not too loud or violent. If the services cannot continue because of the disruption, they should be asked to leave by the ushers, the sextant, or security personnel. If they refuse to leave, they should be reported to the police for trespassing. They are *not* trespassing, merely by entering, standing in the back, and shouting. We have mentally ill and traumatized people do that frequently, and we are to show charity.
The focus is always on nonviolence and deescalation. We should calmly approach the protestors and allow them to air their grievances. This is a great opportunity for evangelisation. Make sure you give them a good video.
Whatever you do, don't freak out and demand they go to prison for six months. Geez.

You can inherit more property, without triggering inheritance taxes, and there are some health and retirement insurance benefits.

The statistics also say that unhappily married parents are usually _still_ better than unmarried parents, unless they're outright molesting the children or chronically, physically abusive and resistent to therapy. (Which are rare behaviors among the married, and usually not the reason for the split.) We can also expect unhappy marriages to eventually become happy ones, if they just wait long enough, and vice-versa. Marriages fluctuate in quality.
And I think that is the most difficult part for adults to digest, as it means marriage offers children some concrete protection, even if the parents are miserable. We like to think that what makes children happiest is seeing their parents happy, but that isn't actually true. Raising children isn't about _you_, it's about _the children_.
Children don't exist to please their parents; they have their own path. Parents splitting up derails them from that path.

They will also always suffer from the limited selection. Not needing to share you partner is a true indication of quality.
That's why men with many wives typical give the inheritance to the children of the first wife: she's usually the best match. Anyone willing to marry him, after her, knew she would be sharing, and did it, anyway, as she isn't good enough to be that sort of man's First Wife. Yeah, same, but look how stable we now are, and what good choices in partner we've made. We grew up around people modeling a way of life that is very difficult to recreate, unless you're raised in it. It's a complex social system and everyone not raised in it, has to actively attempt to reorganize their brain and body, to achieve the same thing, whereas we can sort of slide back into it.
This is something whose impact tends to be felt in the long-term and can only be measured demographically. Because, after all, would you have been _even more of a maniac_ if your parents hadn't been married? The statistics suggest: yes.

A friend of mine, in America, said that the sociology teacher at her daughter's college had the students do a survey on themselves. He called it "Check your privilege". He had everyone stand against the back wall. Then he asked everyone to take a number of steps forward or backward, according to criteria he called out.
Take 1 step forward, if you were breastfed, as an infant.
Take 2 steps back, if you were born prematurely.
Take 3 steps forward, if your parents attend religious services at least once per month.
Take 5 steps back, if you are black.
And so on. Having married parents was 7 steps forward.
She said he finished and her daughter turned around, and most of the students hadn't even made it half as far, as she had. And she was the only black person in the class.

I see it, with my children's friends and my relatives. How even children with birth defects and other special needs seem to get steadily pushed toward success, if they are raised by a married couple. Everyone else struggles to not be derailed. They can make it as far, but it requires much more effort and luck, on their part.

Yes, and they're increasingly considered a subset of the "married" category. But surveys show it's mostly relatively poor couples who say they can't afford to marry, due to: losing benefits and de-facto marital taxes, the cost of a wedding, or the male partner's low income or unemployment (ties back into "losing benefits"). Poor couples tend to also be socially isolated and think no one would care to show up, or they are simply overwhelmed about planning one.
Some churches offer subsidized weddings or an annual group wedding, for this reason. Also a low-barrier offer to couples to "upgrade" their civil marriage to a church one.

I think the _entire_ US society is actually becoming more conservative, on this issue. American fertility was mostly being propped up by never-married mothers, who were raising children alone. Those mothers are now often cohabiting, not alone. If you put married and cohabiting mothers together, the fertility of the remaining women is less than 0.25.
We're actually returning to the historical norm of circa 20-25% of women remaining alone and childless.

He asked me what my dreams and plans for my life were, on the first date, and I said, "I want to get married and have kids," and later he asked if I had plans for Sunday, and I said, "Going to church," and that was basically a wrap.
We were engaged 2 months in, but the wedding wasn't until about 10 months, later, so that my American relatives could arrange to attend.
I also got a romantic proposal, with a diamond ring, but it was already completely obvious where this was headed, by the appetizer. 😂
