There was a news story about a news anchor's mother being held for a Bitcoin ransom for like a month, but the government keeps trying to enact laws that make it this crime as easy as possible.
Privacy is the best tool we have to protect ourselves from theft. Unfortunately, taxation is also theft and the government is not interested in making theft harder.

I protested in the streets during the Iraq war while in college. There were about a dozen of us. It suspected more people would be against it, but was wrong.
I get the impression that most Americans believe the bullshit propaganda that programs them to think war is good for the economy. Some people have even told me this. 😔

This sounds interesting. I've been working on a Bitcoin educational video series, free and open source, but I plan to host it on #nostr using the V4V model and sell it as a course on Udemy too. This is my 4 Hour Workweek Muse, but it's taking much longer than I expected. 😅

Bitcoin is the separation of money and state. I don't see much difference in Elizabeth Warren and Donald Trump. They play for the same team, the state. Donald Trump is trying to use stable coins to monetize the debt. That takes away the seinorage from the banks.
Elizabeth Warren probably wants the banks to keep the seinorage.
Both of these policies have the same goal: Fund forever wars.
Fuck Donald Trump and Elizabeth Warren.

Totally agree. It's the main reason I think nostr is important.
I've been concerned with the Internet being used for "brainwashing" since the mid 90's. It's obvious that government controlled corporate social media is used to facilitate group think.
I focus on the Bitcoin narrative, but war propaganda is also a problem, probably a bigger problem than the constant Quantum FUD.

It was a good book. Be had a plan for paying for it. His theory was people will choose UBI instead of disability, but that's not how government works.

It looks like Andrew Yang's thesis from his book, The War On Normal People is unfolding. He thinks AI will not only elimiminate tech jobs, but also blue collar jobs like truck driving.
His solution was UBI: $1,000 per month for every citizen paid for by decreasing entitlements, but the government is not capable of balanced budgets.
After COVID, the USG implemented monetary expansion to give $1200 worth of UBI for plebs and Jumbo PPP loans for corporations they ended up forgiving causing the worst inflation in decades.
Thats when I lost all faith in government.
These job cuts are inevitable. More are comming. We still need solutions, but government is not capable of solving this problem. We need private insurance or something. Equity for employees seems like a good start, but it looks like max pain is on the horizion.

I feel the same, but the numbers are bothering my wife. That's not something I prepared for.
I talk about Bitcoin the same way I talked about it when it was $400, but she gets triggered now. Even though I never changed, the fiat price has. I think she was also excited it was getting integrated into the legacy financial system and governmen while I saw that as a red flag.
