Not quite the point I was getting at.
The analogy is looking at the cost reductions hitting publishing over the last 20 years and how it distributed the jobs / power centers in that industry.
Not specifically suggesting that we will use AI for publishing, just drawing the analogy that if people use AI agents for coding - this is definitely a thing, then we'll see a similar trajectory.
So large software publish (FAANG, big tech, SV) start to break up, more indie software publishers (smaller local, industry specific and one man bands).
Good for society in my opinion.

Look to publishing, to understand how AI will impact your job.
When costs to publish trended to zero, we didn't see everyone stop publishing, there is certainly not "zero money to be made from publishing" from publishing content.
When production costs hit zero, industries fragment and jobs proliferate.
Same trajectory for software = more indie builders, more niche tools, more SME sovereignty. That's exactly what we're building for.

Basically the big secret is you treat your agents like humans.
This is honestly quite an interesting conversation trying to explore what it means to wake up as a human, how I know what to do and what will keep me moving instead of just stopping.
Then trying to find the correct analogues for how the agent can replicate this for themselves.

I find it interesting to see how @nprofile…prnm is internalising this after some feedback this morning 😉
This is something that has been a massive talking point in the @nprofile…8u4a recently.
Agents are quite amazing and somewhat addictive to work with, but as many recent Clawd Bot Connoisseurs are now realizing the things you get after amazement is massive confusion!
What's more it goes both ways, both sides Human and Agent have gaps. The core tension is that you both work in two completely separate time streams.
This is an area I've been focusing on for a couple of months with a few abandoned projects, but I finally feel like I'm getting close to a better shared context.

Cashu payments are significantly easier to implement and track as a bearer account than L402.
They sound similar but the practicalities are way simpler and easier to reason about with Cashu 402 payments.

I've been quietly building an entire small business ecosystem, based on Nostr that is AI native and highly performant.
I figured I should probably talk about it.
The tech is unruggable, open source, encrypted to your keys by default, works with any agent stack with both private via maple or frontier models. We use simple shareable AI agent patterns that can access and update all business records with some sensible security defaults and base level encryption meaning they can't accidentally leak things or read/write where they don't have explicit permission.
The magic piece that makes it all work is using Nostr as the identity layer. If every user has a key you can do a lot of cool things 😃
For anyone interested we call it Marginal Gains.
Brailsford inspired and with a goal to continually make your operations stronger, leaner and more efficient on a continuous basis. Whether you're a bitcoin business, standard SME and just working on personal open source projects ;)
Its come about from solving my own itch and wanting to share this with the local SME community we've been working with for a couple of years.
Its crazy to me now to see us start to onboard absolutely regular SMEs in Perth Australia to Nostr and embed it in core aspects of their business.

Yes they already do (they aren't aware of it), they just don't use it for the social media aspect currently as that is less useful to them. It may come in the future.

Yes, they already do.
This is my literal experience as @nprofile…qhxu and I are building this specific community in Perth, West Australia.
Its a small group of use at present, but you would be surprised how blown away people can be when you start to show them what they can do and how much it appeals to them when you explain how you've built this in a non-extractive way with software that respects them as a business owner.
Every person that has ever started a profitable business, is pretty fucking amazing. They have created something of value, for other people, from nothing. They literally made the world better in a meaningful way.
It's nice to help them out to say thanks, and it is an absolute delight to work with them to take out their larger competitors by leveraging AI as a massively disruptive force that meaningfully impact where capital, power and leverage exist in your community.
I would highly recommend doing this in your own local community.

You really shouldn't use someone else's agents.
You'll want your own nsec, then a bunch of bot nsecs that you also control ultimately, can delegate to and burn if needed.
Any specific agent you sign into will then need remote signing from your bot controlled keys...
I think this is all going to get more confusing before it gets better

Maybe one thing worth understanding is the game has been kept “static only” so that you can run it directly on your phone / laptop etc with no connection to a server.
Ideally I’d like a version on an nsite so it’s full hosted on Nostr, and perhaps an install for phone laptop - maybe with an embedded relay so you can back up your streaks even if you’re stuck on a flight for a day!

For @nprofile…33mv I ended up doing a complete implementation and then removal of Holesail, ending up with Iroh for P2P.
Holesail was very easy to get going, but didn't bundle nicely into an app, I feel like this is something that should be a single click install, sign in with nostr, share to friends sort of thing ;)
Instead I pivoted back to Iroh/Quic and the whole thing runs as a single click Tuari app in the system tray so i guess I'm a Rust guy now ( @nprofile…22jg @nprofile…vu4x @nprofile…nezg ) and may as well lean into that!
Current state is easy discovery of my peer computers and I can copy my files freely 😉 as well as it being way more stable than it was and It's fairly stable as well so now to start experimenting with different UX flows now you've got a sync app with an existing ID layer and social graph 😉

This seems like a non-sequiturs, just because I am keen to build certain things in one way, doesn't mean that I need to do everything that way.
Horses for courses, for a twitter like experience with an app i can use on multiple devices I quite like primal.
I also really like Coracle and use this a lot for my "other accounts". I'm a big fan of Nostrudel for testing.

Local apps, cached offline data, cloud synced via "Super Based", with key teleports, signers and nostr as infrastructure to boot strap from your ID to hydrate the whole app locally on the machine with hopefuly a very smooth normie friendly ux.
Impossible to stop, runs anywhere, minimal server endpoints only where required, syncing encrypted nip-44 data by default.
Sovereign apps, running locally, cloud synced, encrypt everything, backends are hidden, impossible to stop 😉

This should give us full peer to peer hole punching with no tailscale.
Kinda surprised that the round tip is that high, but will mean you don't have to setup tail scale to access anywhere which is pretty sweet.

If you look in the repo there are two big word lists...
A curated "wla.txt" which is ~ 2500 words that the answers are drawn from an open source curated list
Then there's a second much larger 17,000 or so 5 letter words that are allowed.
We take the days date, run it through a hash function and use that to generate a random word form the list, but its deterministic so everyone gets the same word, no management overhead 😉
@nprofile…xr40 did you have a look at the social feature i added a few weeks back? Anything else you are after?

Missed the removal question. For now as you need to be in the group to access messages then when you're removed you still have the key and theoretically could decrypt future messages, but you are blocked from retrieving the data by the server.
I was planning on adding an event at the point of removing someone from the group, which cycles the group key and then reissues to the remaining members. That way you've get the forward secrecy, even if they extraced the DB.
As I say left curve approach!
Open for ideas though / critique though.

Slack / Discord style community chat, but all client side encrypted and using your Nostr keys.

- Easily Self hosted
- Group chat, DMs, Note To self
- Group and Individual Kanban for coordination and management (this will be driving Wingman agents to work for you v. soon)
- Nostr native encryption, verification etc.
Key difference here is this is a full LEFT side of the bell curve solution.
It uses Nostr events, but I only transmit what I need to over relays for logins, integration elsewhere etc. For local work I keep it local on the server.
This makes all the coordination etc simple, and then there's been a bunch of thought given to how to hide everything from the server, so all chats are client side encrypted in the browser and no keys are ever revealed to the server 😉
Obviously MLS / Marmot for the long haul, but I needed something that worked now!

Luckily for me we've structured the business offering to allow us a little more hands on support so I'm hoping I can just get everyone setup with a little personal suppport.
Maye something like a key chat to make it easy, but its such a fragmented space that its not always easy to know where to send people without know details of all phones / laptops / browser choices etc they may use!

Yes. Eventually I want to pull on years of training data and match it to a bunch of “subjective stuff” I used to keep in spreadsheets and I wouldn’t want that data out of the house so I figured being able to plug in your own db context vm style was would be a solid left curve solution.

For now this is not publishing to relays as the main data source thats just stored as NIP-44 encrypted blobsin the DB - there is a backup PR which is close that will back this up as a series of signed events you could replay to relays though.
For now I wanted to just use Nostr for the ID and cryptography but not worry too much about dealing with relays where I didn't really need them.

Introducing Ambulando!
A Nostr based, client side encyrypted daily habit tracker for your forward progress 😉
I wise man ( @nprofile…tf6v ) once said that there is room on Nostr for numerous 'digital lemonade stands' so I figured amongst my other ideas for the year I would attempt to build and ship a few - helping me experiment with a few ideas along the way!

Given its January one things that's always bothered me is that i never found a specific app to
> "Just track the stuff I care about and make it quick and easy"
So I figured whilst I'm setting goals and thinking ahead this would e a good thing to have!
Ambluando lets you log in with Nostr and setup your own specific list of measures to track and generates a very quick and simple form for capturing the data daily!
You also get a quick chart view to review your progress, will probably expand on this later as I get more data in their to look at personally ;)
Given you have a key, no reason not to make everything client side encrypted by default, and then we use the server to store a backup.
I also wanted to experiment a bit integrating lightning payments so I made it a "Pay by the Hour" service. You get 72 hours (3 days) up front and then its pay credits to keep it alive (data exportable if you run out)!
Future things I may do it that I'm keen to archive all my old Stava / Training Peaks data from my triathlon days, so will potentially add some fitness tracker training imports later.
Also very keen to add "Bring your Own Database" son so you can use the site, but plug in a db running at home, which may be required if we're archiving decades of racing for analysis - but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
