Excellent. As a founder of a few software businesses, the shift from debt based finance (minimal risk to the rent seekers, maximum risk to the borrowers) to equity centric finance (share the risk and the rewards) will be subtle and profound; building something new for Bitcoin now to fill a gap .. tbh .. scratch my own itch .. but this insight has definitely been informing funding choices

Depends on where he’s coming from
If he’s from a tech background, the “Inventing Bitcoin” will answer most of his technical questions, but the big gap will likely be economic, so Bitcoin Standard or Broken Money are great fundamentals
The Little Bitcoin Book incorporates many perspectives and is a good lead in to a choose your own adventure exploration like “21 Lessons”
If he’s a finance nerd, then “Why buy bitcoin” will provide familiar framing
“B is for Bitcoin”
“Sovereignty through Mathematics”
“The Internet of money (v1-3)”
“The bullish case for Bitcoin”
So many wonderful resources and starting points now; there is no one perfect place .. just start and let your friends know you’re around for questions 🤝

Great for protecting your data if an adversary gains your device .. but remember two things:
1. Ensure your data is backed up elsewhere because it won’t be recoverable from the device; and
2. If your phone is taken at a border crossing, the bigger issue than what they take off the device, is what they put on the device - if the device is taken out of your sight for a duration - safest to assume it’s been loaded with tracking/monitoring software/exploits - best to discard

It looks like Telstra is now actively blocking connectivity to all Mullvad servers on their mobile network
To work around these fucktards, go to your Mullvad settings and set a custom DNS to use such as
1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare)
8.8.8.8 (Google)
.. or your favourite privacy preserving freedom browsing DNS provider
This works because by default your internet connection uses your ISP’s DNS resolver .. which means that DNS service has to log and censor according to the Govt of the day’s specific whim. Using a more open DNS bypasses all that.
Probably a good change to make
