It’s weird how people think it is some kind of sign of true religiosity to say they believe in God or believe in Christ or whatever it is. It’s like, okay? You believe in something. Meaning, you don’t know. You don’t know if it is actual, so you must believe. Believing in things is what children do, literally. They believe in Santa Claus. What does that really mean? It means they identify with the fabrications of their internal mental activity, probably from things that were planted into them by some else or a book. It means you’re stuck at the level of mind, which is not your spirit. It’s your mind, its ideas, its intellectualism, aka, not your spirit. From new agers to modern Christians, almost nobody I speak to these days really seems accept this concept that there is a direct experience to be had with an aspect of your being that you could only describe as spirit if you had the skill to soak into it directly, which very few humans have ever achieved, hense why remarkable people like Jesus, who could do it, are remembered forever. It is the idea that your spirit is literal, just like your physical body. It’s a literal thing that you can, under rare circumstances, absorb into entirely. In other words is “real”. Not a metaphor, not morality, not psychology, and definitely absolutely nothing to do with astrology, healing, past lives, dimensions, none of that. Mind goes away, body goes away, and all your ideas of God or whatever else are recognized as mostly pointless mental fabrications and your life is forever changed if you are to experience this aspect of reality for even 1 second. Therefore it’s much better to strive to “know” rather than believe. Believing is silly, there is something tangible to know directly, and it’s not easy to achieve!

Went for a coffee this morning and chatted with a store owner about his life in Egypt, and started to think about how one of the most pernicious aspects of the fiat system is how it causes the degeneration of culture.
Every couple of years they've had major currency devaluations by their central bank (due to taking on big loans from the IMF). This makes life more and more expensive for the locals there. It has become very difficult to buy a home. Think about a family living in a home for hundreds of years, past down through the generations, how much life has been lived in that. How much wisdom has been absorbed into the walls. And then all the sudden they're forced to sell so they can buy groceries. Much more is lost in that transaction than just the physical home. It contributes to the slow death of the story of the people.
Since there is a hollowing out of economic opportunity, the best and brightest decide to leave the country for greener pastures. While they bring aspects of their culture to wherever they emigrate to, parts of them inevitably fall away as their cultural identity slowly dissolves into the melting pots of the largely secular, developed world. So you have both an exodus and a thinning out of culture.
I find that quite sad because a place like Egypt has been around for such a long period of human history. Culture evolves alongside the demands of history, tuned to the challenges of earthly patterns of change. It is a loss that cannot be quantified.

If you do something like qi gong or taiji or even the subtler aspects of yoga but have not gone through a specific process of opening the body, soaking the mind into the tissues and fascia, followed by consilidating the yin field around your lower abdomen to gather Qi, which is a multi-year process, you are pretty much just waving your arms around and it is more it less totally pointless aside from it being a light form of physical exercise. You don’t automatically have these things, it’s like someone going to the gym and trying to bench 300 pounds. There is a long process of conditioning and preporation to find the Qi and thicken it. Then when the channels in the hands open, the arm movements drag the Qi through the body, tonifying the organ systems

Yeah man I agree. Having spent some time in and around those ideas and communities I feel I got whatever I needed from them but it’s really not for me at all at this point. If that stuff helps people and it works for them, more power to them but personally, not for me. I honestly don’t even understand what they are talking about at this point lol. I have no idea what talking to aliens has to do with spirituality. I have no idea what becoming totally obsessed with healing all your traumas as if you have some big ole’ bucket of traumas you gotta heal has to do with meditation. I don’t think it works like that at all actually. People are still doing the exact same thing 5, 10 years down the line. Still hunting that final trauma down in the next ayahuasca ceremony. The next ice bath or Joe dispensa visualization imagination technique. Hunting sensations, hunting big experiences, wanting everything to happen immediately. It’s like, I don’t think people are actually reflecting on what effect these things are having on them. You have people all over YouTube saying “omg I awakened my kundalini because I had crazy dreams, Jesus visited me, I astral projected to Lumeria and my dead grandma healed my abandonment wounds and man I’m just so spiritual cause I am just so sensitive to people and I can feel everyone’s energy and this YouTube channeller activated my multidimensionality and omg I’m just so spiritual and I’m about to have an ice bath, microdose, sauna, wim hof technique, sauna, ice bath, and now I’m just working on healing my relationship with my mom and it’s connected to my past lives and I’m also working on my frequency trying to manifest the life of my dreams” It’s like man—you sure you didn’t just fry your nervous system? Lol. You sure you haven’t just become a chronic overthinker? Like, you sure you aren’t just pumping a bunch of energy to your head and you are literally making yourself verge on what normal people call mental illness? You sure all those wim hof sessions you’re doing aren’t just literally making you hyperventilate and causing your body to become so over stimulated your conciousness literally cannot stay anchored in it? You sure you aren’t just constantly overstimulating yourself and becoming more and more neurotic and ungrounded everyday? 🤔. Honestly, that’s what it feels like to me. You bring this up and people get all squirmy and defensive because they’ve built this entire identity around being “spiritual” as if it means you’re supposed to be having all these crazy experiences, talk real slow like Rupert Spira, and be becoming more and more highly emotional and over intellectual about everything happening in their lives where everything means something esoteric. If you actually look soberly at the mechanics of what they’re doing, a lot of it is just building more and more layers of identity and self obsession, masquerading as spiritual lingo all while damaging their body. Just my current opinion and again if people are into it whatever I really don’t care at all it’s just that I literally see everyone doing the exact same thing thinking it is their higher self or whatever and it’s like hmm, you sure it isn’t actually just the YouTube algorithm churning an entire generation of people who probably genuinely started out seeking something deep being sucked into this ready-made whirlpool of insanity and disembodiment? 🤷🏼‍♂️

People in new age scenes seem to think you can “open your chakras” using your intention. They are just like, okay, I’m going to light some incense, focus my attention on my root chakra, relax, see what emotions come up, and then voila, I’ve “opened my root chakra”. It’s like, huh? What? Does nobody know what the actual signs were that someone had literally “opened their root chakra?” Like - mastery over all the elements of nature? Lol. Like, telekinesis, moving objects with your mind? Or how about the “laghima” siddhi - the ability to make your body weightless, basically, flying. Most people will read that and think it is silly, just some fanciful wishful thinking. But it’s really not, it’s a thing and has always been a thing. It’s just that our culture has become so degenerate and confused that we have lost contact with what a human being is and what it is capable of. Therefore I don’t personally think anyone on the planet today has literally opened any chakras at all, much less become “spiritually awakened” - a state of being that is so profound it would fundamentally change how the energy and consciousness of the person connects to reality, and simply being in this persons presence would warp time and space around you, much like the accounts of encountering Jesus or Buddha were talked about. However these days, in modern times you are “awakened” because you know a bunch of conspiracy theories or because you are aware of your emotions or because you eat a certain way? 🤔. Maybe, just maybe, it’s actually about something much much deeper and profound….

If you find yourself judging others around how their behaviour is right or wrong, good or bad, natural or unnatural, etc, one way to lighten up on that is to hold the perspective that most of the time the actions people take are just the medium through which their soul moves about the lessons it wants to learn. For instance let's say you encounter a hardcore vegan. They go around telling everyone what to eat, how they are morally superior, how they're more spiritual than you because they eat fruit all day. And maybe that is annoying (it definitely is), but really, that's just the surface level expression of what their soul is learning. For instance, they could be learning about what it means to have integrity. Or, they could be cultivating certain qualities around discipline, consistency, aligning their mental fabrications around morality with their actions. All interesting and valuable things to grow on the soul level.

emotions are mind constructions that limit your ability to feel. what i mean by this is that what we really mean by emotion is a somatic sensation happening in your body - a "feeling". the feeling is a reaction to something happening externally or internally. if you look a baby, they don't know whether they're angry or sad, they're literally just feeling things. they haven't yet labelled feelings as concepts. the trouble with labelling a feeling as a particular emotion as you get older is that emotions are ultimately intellectual concepts a collection of humans have decided more or less symbolize a particular pattern of feelings. so what happens is that your mind starts to condition each feeling with the label, and eventually, the feeling-label-emotion dynamic becomes so intertwined that any time a feeling comes along that is vaguely in the pattern of "anger", for example, your mind just makes you feel the general sensation of "angry" because you've built it into your system as a habitual reaction. it simplifies and generalizes and you miss the detail and novelty because you went to the label as apposed to the experience, and then the label hijacked the experience. here you are short-circuiting your experience of reality with your conditioned mind. because in reality every feeling is totally unique and full of creative information. however if you let the labels take over, basically that information becomes compressed, lo-fidelity, and you just feel a more general sensation you already understand. your mind is on a kind of energetic budget, it’s only got so much juice for you in this lifetime, and though it is highly programmable it will take short cuts wherever it can and labels are one of those mechanisms it employs so that it does not need to sort through new information. the skill to develop is to "listen" to sensations without getting emotional. just listen to the body and whatever is happening in the mind without habitually reacting. people might think that is suppressing or repressing but it is the opposite. if your emotional mind concepts take over as soon as you feel something, it will then project the general feeling associated with the new novel feeling onto the nervous system and you won't feel what actually wanted to come through. so by taking away emotions you actually feel your feelings as fresh information everytime if that makes any sense. this also doesn’t mean not to express your feelings. it’s saying to stop analyzing and trying to understand every little feeling and simply feel it, the understanding will come later spotaneously and the meaning will be much more colorful because you didn’t generalize it as an emotion.

The deeper I go into the esoteric side of life the clearer it becomes that I know so very little about the nature of reality or what life is. It is really the ultimate mystery. I do however see more clearly my delusions, that has been helpful. Perhaps the accumulation of knowledge in this matter is more a matter of recognizing delusions, subtracting, as apposed to “adding” or espousing grand explanatory theories and models. My experience has been that there is a threshold you pass where the truth of reality really cannot be expressed in words or symbol, only experienced. I think it is possible to store this experience in energy, and that it is possible to pass along this energy, but that is quite far away from where I am in terms of skill. “The Dao that can be named is not the eternal Dao” is starting to make a lot clearer sense to me now. You really must remain humble, don’t be so sure you “get it” or it is “just this” or that. Just when you think you get it some deeper structure becomes available to you and you must drop what you thought before almost entirely.

The presidential debate was the perfect representation of the two dominant political consciousnesses on the planet right now. On the left you have a politics that has become utterly non-sensical, lacking any internal logical coherency, weak, soft, knee-jerk emotionality fueled by resentment; basically, people living in an internal fantasy world shaped by their own mental delusions. On the right you have self-righteous childlike reactionaries, boastful ideologues lacking all humility, fighting to save a past version of the world whose ship has sailed so that they can feel emotionally safe within their own narrowminded politcal nostalgia. All the spiritual traditions understood the microcosm and the macrocosm were reflections of one another. Here it is in full resolution display!

Do people who have no concerns about the health of the planet just never go outside? Are they not observant to reality around them? In Canada the rivers used to be overflowing with life. When I used to drive up north my windshield would be splatted with all sorts of insects, but no more. Remember when water from lakes and rivers used to be drinkable? Hundreds of years ago the fish populations were so thick with life that they slowed ships down. Now they’re grown in isolated pockets of chemically laden water bucket cages. And that misery gets transferred into the essence of the tissues that we consume. I want to live on a planet flourishing with life, not some techno-utopia dystopia with neon signs and AI robots everywhere. I hope Bitcoin enables us to support life again. I feel the spirit of the planet crying out for life-support. I go to the park and see trees lined up in single-file lines, devoid of place, ancestry, connection to lineage. What the hell is that about? Only a civilization who does not understand life would take such an approach. Have you ever seen a forest organize trees like that? Trees are beings, plants are beings, insects are beings that all ground in the consciousness of aliveness into the planet. Indigenous people understood this. The fall of our current western civilization will be in part because we made the fundamental metaphysical error of seeing the world as a set of discrete soulless objects rather than an interconnected web of beings all having subjective experiences while hosting different shades of spirit. Perhaps we should care about the “the environment” because we are part of the environment lol. “The environment”—what a massive psyop of an idea. There is no such thing as the environment or “nature”, there is just life and we are it. Spiritually confused humans invented the idea of “nature”. It does not exist, it is an abstract concept which enables the projection of a reductionist worldview onto a reality that is fundamentally interconnected. We are part of that web of organic life that are transducers of spirit, grounding it into physical form. People wonder why the world feels soulless—maybe because we are destroying life? Forests, oceans, swamps, jungles, rivers, these are all organs of the earth supporting the cosmology of human purpose and thus we should meet them as equals. Unfortunately it’s not just fiat money, it’s the consciousness that gives birth to fiat money as well. I think we’re in a bit bigger of a mess than people think. Humans aren’t the only consciousness on this planet. Thanks Descartes for starting this mind virus. This is not me being an advocate for any “solution” proposed by fiat politicians which are totally insane on a whole other level of human delusion, it’s me putting forth a different view of reality. If embodied it can shift how you interact with the world. You care for the river because it is a being, it is your friend and brother, not because it a “resource”.
