I like cooking a nice 80/20 burger in ghee in a cast iron. Then I cook a sunny side up egg in the ghee/fat. Put it in my burger with an extra dab of ghee. This is a regular meal and it’s amazing

I don’t know many details but I do know someone personally that has this. She no longer can eat beef I believe and thinks it is caused by a tick bite that occurred a year or two earlier. She lives in the US and does quite a bit of hiking. She would occasionally find a tick on herself and her dog.

I think it’s difficult to generalize diets. Each of us have different nutritional needs. Things such as our age or what our ancestors ate matter. I’ve tried various diet trends over the years but now find experimenting with different foods and observing their impacts on my body, energy, mind and general well being is best. There are no one size fits all diets. Do some experimenting and see what works for you.

You put the ghee in the pot and heat it up with 3 kernels. After you hear the three pop, you add the rest of the kernels and keep moving the pot on the heat until you hear the popping almost stop. I don’t wait until they completely stop because then you get some burnt ones.

People that work for the VA often have big hearts but are handcuffed as to their ability to help veterans with either funding or regulatory restrictions. Could you expand on the yellow color? I thought the color of the ghee, assuming the only ingredient is butter, was caused by the diet of the cow. I’ve read a richer darker yellow color implies a diet rich in grass.

I feel you on this. It’s why I interact less and with people in public in general. I rarely go to gatherings anymore. People always expect me to think a certain way or have certain beliefs and they usually are quite different. I used to consider myself and extrovert but more and more I feel like an introvert. I try more to be in nature. The trees, sky, grass, birds, squirrels etc don’t require I take a side with anything. We just coexist together.
As far as breakfast. Scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and cooked in ghee with a bowl of blueberries and a cup of coffee on the side is my go to. If you had to choose the same meal every day for breakfast, what would you choose?

Tonight I cooked a steak in ghee in a cast iron. Added a little more ghee after the steak was done and cooked two sunny side up eggs in it. Then had a fresh ripe peach to finish. Wonder if I should have cooked the peach in ghee in the cast iron too?! I love me some ghee

I cook all my steaks, burgers and bacon in one. And sometimes eggs if I cooked bacon. But I have to admit I like cooking eggs in a stainless steel pan more. Just like the texture.

I agree with this but I think focusing on calorie intake is the wrong approach to losing weight or keeping fit. If you eat high quality clean food then you don’t get as hungry unless you are exerting a lot of energy and then you eat more because your body needs it.
