Between FIPS and Bitchat, it seems we’re moving toward network-agnostic development where information is sent through the best route available whether it be WiFi, Bluetooth or LoRA
FIPS approach in not requiring clients to rearchitect their app so that it can send information over these shorter distance networks when internet is unavailable will be a winning strategy

Voice to agent is definitely the way to go like you’ve been doing
But is looking at the screen, reading verbose output, running into poles the peak?
Would be sick if I could wear headphones, vibe, accept/reject, ask clarifying questions and not have to listen to verbose output or “you’re absolutely right”
Tuning that seems tricky though, how are you seeing it?

But basically you need a computer running MacOS so you can use Xcode with an iCloud account so you can subscribe $100/year to get a developer account to have the privilege of having your app reviewed before your app can be on the App Store
And even if you make it that far, they might reject your app
No refunds
With that said, I know services like Replit are trying to incorporate this workflow into their service

Why don’t you think it’ll ever be private?
If you say that the leading models will continue to train on user prompts, I’ll agree with you there
But I see a path where open source models become reasonably good at handling tools and being valuable assistants
With that said, I think majority of users will default to Claude, Gemini, Grok, etc because they will continue to be the best experience
I guess what I’m saying is a private version will exist, but I don’t expect it to be the popular version

Shakespeare AI only has 2 models currently.
You can add other providers in Settings -> AI and then select the provider that has the models you want. In this case for Kimi 2.5, you can use Moonshot AI, OpenRouter or Routstr.
Moonshot AI and OpenRouter would require API Keys, but Routstr accepts ecash tokens.
I'll talk with the team about adding a lower cost model now that there's an option available that's open-source and relatively competent.

Have you seen the generative UI stuff where AI builds the interface on the fly? It’s not an app in the conventional sense, it’s just a uniquely generated interface specific to your task that’s immediately created and discarded

Grimoire is the ultimate feed viewer, but it can’t yet do things like “One per Follow” or “210 character limit”, but if we fetch those feeds then it’s interoperable

None of the apps I’ve built have made any meaningful amount of money
Instead they created an opportunity for me to eventually get recognized by other developers who do work full time on Bitcoin and Nostr and I was fortunate enough to be invited onto their teams to work with them
While this work doesn’t support me entirely (I still have another full time job outside of Bitcoin and Nostr), it has given me enough to support my wife and family as a sole provider for which I’m forever grateful
My advice based on my experience is to continue building and keep learning
Build the things you want
I wanted GIFs so I made gifbuddy, I didn’t like other meme tools so I made memeamigo, I wanted a workflow to create webapps so I made PocketVibe
These are things that interested me, challenged me, and grew my skill set
There are no guarantees, but if you build there’s a chance
If you stop building, there is no chance
