Here we go, eID accepted in Switzerland. Vaud, the largest French speaking canton was the strongest yes and most probably balanced the results to the global yes.
At least it's not a clear rostigraben result, unlike the real eastate tax removal (which passed as well).
Open your bets, how long until it's mandatory or at least so combersome and costly to avoid it that it's implicitely mandatory to use it?
That's not good. I hope all these people against it, 49.6%, would strongly refuse to use it, to postpone the inevitable as long as possible.

We are voting for/against that this weekend in Switzerland, every party are for it, it will be a tough battle. Cross your fingers for our soul!
We also vote for removing tax for home owner and tax deduction for morgage interest, this would favor the ones rich enough to pay back their morgage faster but would also relief housing market buying pressure by making high leverage mortgage less attractive, which could be good if it works but foreign money could continue to flood the market because of other fiat failling on them, so it's a risky bet.

I love the Granny Smith ones when they are firm and super sauer, but it's getting harder and harder to find them and when you find some it's more expensive than white peaches.
But I don't know most of the other type, Jazz (meuh), Pink Lady (ok but super expensive too) and we have other types in Switzerland like Admas, Reinette, Boskoop, Braeburn, Golden (yellow ones, really bad)... maybe some are just branded differently by country.

Meanwhile in my "developped" country, in my home town (a major city), they managed to start building one new tram line, planned to be finished in 2-3 years, build row of ugly residential building right on the highway or in place of a local sport center, and manage to force all cool bar, club and shops to close, leaving only hundreds of tiny market shops open 7 days, hair dresser and glasses sellers, meanwhile insurance companies and banks own the most beautiful buildings right at the most attractives locations, the only ones that can afford it. Oh and also we use to have 3-4 McDonald's as the only fast food, one of them connected to a large arcade games place (which was one among sevetal in the city). Now there are 6 McDonald's, KFC, BK, 5 Guys, Vapiano, 3 Starbucks and shitloads of other internarional chains I don't even care to remember, not even counting local burgers chains that all sell the same slightly better shit than big brands but at twice the price. In all cases, smiles are not included.
But it will get better, Sunday we can vote to remove a tax that affect mostly rich people owning houses and building without mortgage. We will fix all of this with voter harder.

He said it started in 2019, let's say exactly 6 years ago, it's about 128$ per week. Weekly DCA in BTC these 40k$ would end up today in 1.71 BTC, worth nearly 200k$. Not the million that he nearly "missed" but better than losing 40k for nothing.

It's getting esier for sure but people will always find an excuse to not use something new or postpone any change or slight effort. My self included on some topics, but when I heard people still complaining that I "make my life harder fpr nothing" by refusing to use Whatsapp/Facebook/Insta/X... it's just getting me mad. Would you tell the same to a vegan? To a digital nomad? To parents doing home school?
Fight for what you think is right, accept the others for their choices as much as your choices.

NewPipe/Tubular sur Android marche bien la plupard du temps pour vite sauver une vidéo où un son.
Mais si vous voulez archiver une chaine ou une playlist, ces outils sont pas. Après je me méfie des surcouche non-open source, surtout pour des utilisations à la limite du légal. Je préfère le CLI du coup, et non tout le monde ne déteste pas ça.

Nice that they are doing it, too bad that it's for the wrong reasons.
Thus I doubt the will share their music on nostr or any other "more free" platform, as it's not wjy they boycott Sporify in the first place.
But with their AI facial recogniton live at shows, they might also have an open mind in this way too. Let's see, even if I'm not a fan of their music.

Yeah, in my country it's not as clear that pruce might drop, and if it drops it will be mostly outside cities and their direct surrounding areas. So probably if I buy it's outside center, where price are high but not completely crazy like outside reality.
In my city a 3 bedroom appartment for a family is 2M$+, no way to pay that even if it would be garantee to take 5% per year. We must optimize Bitcoin allocation, it will continue to beat real eastate return long term, no doubt.

I wrote user manual for industrial devices and I can confirm the documents are getting longer and more details over the years, you always need to add one more thing for a particular case that happened, add a new funcrionality that was released, add a new information required by one specific customer.
Now I learn that there is even an ISO standard for writing manual, a first customer asked to follow it, I guess a lot will need to be added again.
It's a side task for me but I ask managers to give it to someone as a full time job.

I didn't check ATM nearby recently but I have never seen reasonnable enough fees to said that I will give it a try. Just the very first time that we could buy BTC at train station vending machine in my city, I tried with 20 bucks and advertised fee were 1.21 (so about 6%), but I remember a spread of another 2-3% on the exchange rate, so total was closer to 10% fee.

If America has more interest spying on your than China, better pick a Chinese hardware.
Honestly if GraphenOS would run on a Chinese brand hardware as well, I would probably pick the Chinese phone to install it on.

Crazy. Already with 50€ you are like "bothering" them in most EU country.
At least in Switzerland we ca still use our 200Fr (=215€ today) note officially everywhere.
I paid my bread with a 50Fr note this morning, it was very welcomed, much more than credit card with high fees.
The 1000Fr note is mostly refused, especially if you try to pay less than 200 CHF with it but for a large enough purchase it should be accepted.

Welcome to KYC Bitcoin and shitcoin, were you must connect a custodial wallet (coinbsse, kraken, ...) to use your bitcoins.
As I understood it and from the screenshot it will not be possible to just pay a lightning invoice or make an on-chain tx to pay to PayPal.
Let's see in practice but if true it might set a very bad precedent and example for other big tech to adopt Bitcoin in the wrong way, full KYC, offchain and probably custodial only.

Looks great, good UX.
However for setup that require higher security, can we initiate with the devices once at the time to avoid bringing them all in one place? Ideally, I would guess, you should not do the setup all from the same smartphone/PC, in case it's affected, compromised, or is it bulletproof even on compromised devices?

I have something similar with Kodi and Kore remote app, it's convenient for searching a media and yes for volume and next song, but for browsing movies on screen and navigating options using arrows, it's a pain, I always end up click on another button or just in a blank space, and have to look at my phone and back at the screen.
Also if you have kids, you definitely don't want them to use your phone to choose their cartoons.

They try hard but as I ubderstood, in fact it's mostly not working as intended, so it's not really enforced or just in some specific regions or within selected groups as experiments. Mine are lasting years, most devices should have rechargable batteries but TV remotes are at the very bottom of the list.
Did you prefer when ylur watch was not rechargeable but lasting 2-3 years or when it is but last barely a day?
Also, many battery devices should not even exist in the first place, the amount of garbage produced like stupid deco lights for kids of the poorest quality and useless gadgets "just for fun" that loose interest after 5 uses.

If you store your data, signed by the issuing authority, and only the verification of the signature required checking a central point (where no data is stored, only hash and signature), it would be an acceptable solution.
But as almost nobody is able and willing to take the responsability of their data and backups, this is will never be implemented like it should.

Bitcoin got passive yield from relative deflation of everything measured in BTC.
BTC is compliant with the Bitcoin standards, always 100% compliant with its own code.
It's super stable, 1 BTC = 1 BTC, while all fiat in bitcoins terms are highly volatile and going to zero.

Finally Orange Pilled the wife. After spending hours to try to pay a small maker in Brazil from Europe for a custom made product, local credit card, revolut, was looking to do an international bank transfer 😱 when I stopped her and said: ask if she accept Bitcoin.
Minute later she got an on-chain address, 1 min later it got one confirmation on-chain for 500 sats in fee (I overpaid to make sure, could have pass in an hour with 100 but anyway).
Now she got the power of #Bitcoin !

Compagnies, ETF, governememt and other non-indivual are also selling. ETF are going in and out daily, Blackrock is not holding all BTC when his customers sell the ETFs (right?) and Germany sold a lot last year, it's not daily but on average long term it's not 100% retail plus new coins.
