I don't think so, I think the tab needs to persist but it terminates when its closed. It might be possible if implemented directly into the extension. But I haven't thought about it much, I'll keep it in mind.

I'm not sure if anyone else will find this useful but I made a #cashu browser extension which is just a simple iframe that opens http://cashu.me. This is my preferred way to use what I consider to be the best Cashu Wallet in the browser.

I have an idea but maybe someone smarter can flesh it out:
- Create some kind on nostr where we can broadcast these endpoints for discoverability
- Is it possible to give some receipt that I can use to prove I used the API that way any reviews sent on nostr can be verified as real users?
So that way I can search for API's over nostr and see that users who have spent a lot of money seem to be very happy with the service.

Can I just say I love this project very much! Thank you for creating it. I'm migrating to it and rewriting almost all my app to be more coco-first. These are just suggestions of things where I've gotten stuck and been forced to rethink my usage of the library.
1. Can we add some status field to `SendHistoryEntry` & `ReceiveHistoryEntry`? It seems like I need to use `proofService` otherwise but I think that's a private field, I just got a bit stuck on this.
2. Maybe add `token` to `ReceiveHistoryEntry`? I know it's not super needed but its nice to show the user which token the redemption is for.
3. Could we add some field to HistoryEntry for npc receives from `coco-cashu-plugin-npc` so that I can know thats where the payment came from?
4. I found `cashu-kym` pretty useful to and I think it might belong in `coco`.
5. I'm having a weird thing happen where the state goes from PENDING->ISSUED->PAID->ISSUED. It seems to incorrectly revert to ISSUED (when minting). It could be some poor configuration on my side but I attached a video to help demonstrate whats going on.

The spam we experience on #Bitchat is 100 messages per second like ";;;;;;;;;;;;;;". That is a bad thing, with PoW thats mostly fixed or at least its limited.

Does it make sense for the PoW to scale with the specificity of the geohash? For example, #9q is pretty hot, so a PoW of 12 would probably be far too easy for a dedicated spammer. But for a channel like #9qqqq, a PoW of 12 might be fine, since spammers are unlikely to see that as prime real estate.
I think of the difference between these two channels as similar to the difference between Times Square and a billboard in a quiet part of town that few people ever visit.
For geohashes like #s, which are shared across 20+ countries, I would expect a lot more work to go into each message. If you want to be on the front page, you should have to put in more work in my opinion.
But perhaps PoW 13 is fine for now until we feel it out more 😅

#Bitchat color picker when selecting a name, it works with custom hashtags too but it makes it much slower. I'm using Bitchat iOS as my reference for how to compute the colours.

I started with an old mapping project I had then I fed that into bolt just to get it started. Then once the context got too big to do any meaningful changes then I downloaded the code, and used cursor. I tend to use claude-4-sonnet on max settings. It's expensive but it saves time and tends to get things the way I want it the first time.
This is my typical flow for prototyping something.

I've been loving Bitchat, here are some random thoughts that come to mind when using it:
- some search functionality to search for topics being discussed all around the world. Or being able to search "bitcoin" and filter my city geohashes to find people talking about it near me.
- seeing where mesh nets are could be cool, so if there was one in my city I could go check it out by wandering there.
- perhaps some voice channels similar to teamspeak?
- map viewer
- save geohash regions to access them later
- increase hitbox on clickable elements, might be iOS issue only
- It would be nice to be able to create events and see how many people say they will go
- show active users near me even if its no my specific street/neighborhood, maybe the street next to mine is popping off.
- I don't know if verifying nostr identity takes away from the anon experience, but its something to consider
This app already fills a super cool niche but it for sure has a lot of potential and could go in many different directions, I'm excited to see whats next!

The more I use it the less I like Liquid Glass. In Sovran I decided to roll my own frosted glass buttons and thats serving me well. I initially really liked Liquid Glass but anytime I open an Apple app it annoys me.
