As of this month I’ve been a Bitcoiner for 8 years. This is the trickiest winter I’ve seen. I do not believe 4 year cycles exist anymore. I’m holding for the long term. So I don’t worry about the current price. I watch it because it entertains me. It I don’t worry about it. If you panic sold because you are afraid of a bear, good luck bro. I think institutional adoption of Bitcoin doesn’t change any of the fundamentals or the long term direction. I do think it changes the cycle theory. Once they understand fully that because of hard scarcity they simply need to hold or buy bitcoin in mass then cycles end.

It’ll automatically show you who is inside of that area. Then, hopefully someone will message you back and you can potentially start your own meetup…. Or possibly find one that already exists. I remember I had about 6 straight meetups of 1 or 2 people only showing up. It takes time and consistency. The thing is, for me, I craved that common connection that Bitcoin brings out in people. I 100% hope we can separate money and state. I still think however borrowing to improve your life will be necessary even on a bitcoin standard. I don’t think borrowing is a bad thing under the proper and fair standard like bitcoin would provide. The Fed is definitely a cartel

I understand your point. However, from my point of view, if an honest lender is willing and able to provide me with a loan at a reasonable rate and proves to be a good steward of collateralized bitcoin why wouldn’t I take advantage of that instead of selling a potentially large portion of my stack. I’m all for using bitcoin for actual payments but in the current Bitcoin lifeline it makes more sense for me personally to let that grow for now.

I like it. We started a Bitcoin meetup group because of it and now it’s growing. If it wasn’t for OPA it wouldn’t have happened. You can turn off the location stuff. Besides. It’s limited to an area not exact location. Plus, even if you turn it off you can still post your meetups and gain more Bitcoin friends.

I’ve seen a few posts about bitcoin and trying to accumulate as much as you can. Absolutely right. Try to get as much as you can because you’ll be much better off than the average person world wide by a large margin. That said, for an average American to get their hands on 1 bitcoin will never ever be achievable from here on out.
