The sentiment is appreciated but the ignorance is appalling.
It’s “all or nothing” thinking like this which hurts causes and movements.
As leaders we have to do better to meet people where they are at!
Imagine going to your mom and be like “yo…so I’m on this amazing free speech platform, a protocol really…the people are amazing and love and support one another because we are all building something together, in our own ways.
Mom…do you want to be a part of it?”

I think he was a little more relational than that.
Peter certainly would of handled it that way, with a sword in his hand 😜
But I think Jesus met people where they are.
Look at the woman at the well and the lame at the Bethesda Pool.
Scripture doesn’t indicate Christ was unloving in his demeanor.
And Jesus’ message is more “come, be reconciled to the Father” much less “repent of perish”

Early good morning Nostriches!
I’m up a tad earlier on a Sunday as my son’s Basketball Tournament got moved from Saturday to Sunday.
Still prioritizing God and getting time in with Him.
Over the last few years life has hit us upside the head. Household health as a result of a botched surgery for my wife, all the mental, emotional, and physical struggles that brings.
Aging extended family, finances…you name it. We are all ready for restoration!
While at the beginning of all this I certainly experienced my own lack of peace as I lead everyone through the turmoil; but over the last about 9 months now I’ve had this “peace that passes all understanding”.
Ironically it often made my wife more upset because she couldn’t understand how I could not be upset.
Thankfully in December she too was able to tap into that peace that passes all understanding.
During the last 9 months I knew the inexplicable peace was from our triune God, but I didn’t know the exact scripture reference.
Well this morning it was in my readings.
“And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

So Nostriches, it is “…through prayer and petition with thanksgiving…” I continue to pray peace through Christ Jesus over my family, and for you too!

To give yourself some grace, it took Amazon years to become profitable.
And…without “marketing” you are trying to fly a plane with only one engine.
Doable, but as you have experienced the Cash Flow engine gets strained and risk of crashing and burning increases significantly.

Went down a learning hole with this one.
Stumbled across the Metabolic Workspace.
I love this idea because it takes the goal of data and makes it the priority.
What is the purpose of information you ask?
I believe the only reason we should have data is to inform behavior.
Why? Well as Joan Westenberg states, “Ideas have a half-life, and clinging to them past their expiration date actually poisons my ability to think clearly.”
As much as we are humanBEINGS we were also created to be humanDOERS.
We are mandated to take action. To “…fill the Earth and subdue it.” (Genesis 1:28)
So to that end, a “Second Brain” that functions like our digestive system, like our gut micro biome extracting nutrients and deploying…taking action with the information; makes complete sense to me.
After all, what good is collecting information if it doesn’t help us proof our work.
Do a little digging…you might something valuable 😃

I woke up happy…
Then the alarm went off and it was cold outside and the dog wouldn’t listen…outside in the cold…
The last week or so I’ve been meditating on Philippians chapter 4.
I think historically we tend to blast through it and pull out 4:13 “I am able to do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
It’s almost become another John 3:16, a verse that even non-Christians are aware of, yet we have completely missed the meaning and power behind it.
That’s how I feel about:
“Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.”

Iv’e read that verse several times this week, but it wasn’t until today that is sunk in.
How many times am I not gracious?
Too many…
Last night at my son’s basketball game, I wasn’t gracious with the refs.
This morning with one of our dogs, outside in the cold…
(Did I mention it was cold in Florida this morning) 🥶
…I didn’t extend grace to our fur-child.
In hindsight, if I were Paul (the author of Philippians) I would have ammended Philippians 4:5 to read “extend grace to everyone and everyTHING (creature, creation of God).”
But hey! That’s just me.

Burnout is a real thing. I’ve been there 2.5 times (caught myself halfway to the third)
I’ve learned it usually stems from mis-alignment of relationships.
The correct order based on the Hierarchy of Relational Leadership is:
1. God
2. Self
3. Family
4. Others
In that order 👆
What tends to happen is three scenarios
A. We reverse the order (20%)
B. We have the ratios skewed (30%)
C. A larger percent, about 50% have some combination of the two, wherein things are out of order AND out of balance for their given season of life.
That last bit is key…the seasonal context of your life.
Let me ask, have you already begun to self-isolate?

Transparently I’ve not studied Monero.
I just know there tends to be the two camps.
Recently I’ve come to understand Bitcoin as a protocol, it can and is being built upon.

My wife and I were just talking about how during the last half of 2025 we were consistent with almost weekly (extended) "family dinners".
Now we want to include friends, neighbors, random people we meet!
If leadership = relationships, which it does, then we need to be inviting people into our lives and homes.

Well...there is a lot of nuance missed with this belief and context missing for sure.
Primarily we have to take into account environment (not purely as in "nature" but what is an individual surrounded by). A lot of research exists which supports 'we are the sum of our closest 5 people' so physical and relational environment are huge factors.
Further, take into consideration personal struggles, addiction tendencies, etc. I'm friggin brilliant. Lot's of people tell me so and pay me so...YET I'm overweight. I have all the head knowledge and have on several occasions lost significant fat, but manage to put it back on.
Is this because I lack intelligence as you claim or something else? Perhaps discipline or addiction struggles or a myriad of others reasons.

Too often people want to point to a binary claim for causation, when in fact correlation does not always equal causation.

As for the "fat children"...do we really believe, especially in America, that we are setting kids up for success health wise? The quality of food we feed our children is horrible.
And I'd certainly argue few and far between parents, could claim ignorance on the subject.
Yet here again, there are many variables that play a role. For example, food deserts - an area with limited access to affordable and nutritious food, particularly in predominantly lower-income neighborhoods.
More specifically, a community with at least a 20% poverty rate and where 33% of residents live more than 1 mile from a grocery store in urban areas or 10 miles in rural areas.
While not an excuse for me, but rather as a point of relevance, I live near 3 such places just a few miles away. So food deserts are a real thing even in America.
Which is to bring it home to (physical) environment.
We can't blame intelligence or apparent lack there of, for an issue that has multiple variable inputs. #nevent1q…pglc

So they are marketing it as a “super app” built on Bitcoin but more specifically the Fedimint custodial protocol.
They are bringing together:
Cashu (banking for the unbanked)
Communities (physical by way of digital)
Group and private chats
Mini-apps that run inside Fedi (ie 2fiat which converts sats to Visa based gift cards)
They have a video on https://fedi.xyz which explains it better than me 😁
Certainly more of a tool for the developing world and a low barrier entry to Bitcoin via communities that are used to peer to peer commerce

I was intrigued by it as I’m still keeping my eye out for a NOSTR community tool to replace Telegram and ultimately Discord.
But my audience just isn’t there yet. And for me to add another tx layer (cashu) isn’t really functional for the size of transactions I’m envisioning. Bitcoin onchain or Lightning is where I need to land I think.
But I haven’t made up my mind!

In light of this I got to thinking…
(Using round numbers)
$365 or $1/say = ~1000 sats / day
So I could accomplish the same thing if I simply provide enough value to be zapped (on average) 1000 sats a day.
I think that is a good way to tackle this goal and reimagine the implementation.

Proof of Marriage
It’s been 15 years today.
Statistically most don’t make it this far. Marriage is perhaps the greatest proof of work.
We are blessed to have 150+ years of contiguous marriage in our family that has gone before us.
At our wedding people wrote little note cards on anniversary years.
Each one we open and review the year’s previous and the new one.
This year’s was bitter sweet as yet another who went before us has now passed away.
My wife’s uncle and his (now deceased) wife loved each other strong for 65 years!
My wife and I are only on year 15. If we love til 65 years we will be nearly 100 🤯

Oh yea I forgot about the offline function.
That’s beneficial for sure. Major use case with smaller payments.
Not sure I’d risk an offline $1000 client payment…but a $30 haircut or <$100 receiving I can see.

No matter how much I study and often hear the same thing over and over; I’m always amazed at how each time I glean something new or otherwise connect a dot I previously hadn’t.
I think why it took me so long to grasp “Bitcoin is a protocol” vs “Bitcoin is better money” is because of the proliferation of:
A. Pricing BTC in fiat, and
B. The encouragement to spend BTC as though it is money.
Even here on NOSTR I’ve said it a hundred times “if it’s worth a Like, Comment, ReNote, or QuoteNote; it’s worth a #zap “
Problem is that is just one layer…of the protocol that is Bitcoin!
I was mentally stopping there instead of recognizing Bitcoin is to be built upon 🤯
Man when you connect that dot it REALLY makes fiat land look like dystopia and “crypto” like cronyism!

NVM!
I answered my own question by trying it.
Pretty slick, arguably simpler than a Bitcoin transaction, in the sense that one can email a string then the recipient copy/pastes it.
Intriguing for sure.
I’m still unclear other than from a privacy standpoint why I’d want to layer Cashu alongside / on top of Bitcoin (on chain) and Lightning.
Hopefully I’ll connect those dots one day
(It probably doesn’t help that the extent of my usage is almost exclusively NOSTR with a few other BTC to fiat uses this past year)

Man we use AI constantly. Here are a few number of examples (in no particular order)
Orchestrator/coordinator that interacts on demand with my other AI chats to ensure I’m optimally performing across the areas I want to focus on.
Individual chats for projects but structured as roles (ie health coach, marketing, book editor)
I have a Bible Scholar for my personal devotions and spiritual growth)

Our son’s homeschooling (we call it growth plan) then he also uses it for his 5 C’s (Curious, Create, Connect, Cultivate, Consume)
Basketball training and injury recovery/prevention expert for adolescents

My wife has a chat for each of her clients that retains context and she uploads meeting transcripts
Listing items on eBay
We created a custom GPT for clients to access that they can use to develop IP especially visual models.

Yea, in February my wife’s elderly aunt suddenly passed away and she spent a month out of town with her uncle to help; which turned into “Uncle Robert is moving to where we live”.
So 2025 has been a transition of my time being spent a dedicated amount each week with aging family that live near us.
Meanwhile our teenage son is on the go-go-go with Basketball and the gym. So lots of chauffeuring!

I’ve often struggled with the “how to contribute” part since I’m not currently a coder and don’t desire to return to such.
Your “if you can document, document” hits home with me.
I’m good at communicating through writing and codifying ideas via visual models.
So one commitment I made in 2025 was my “published first on NOSTR” M.O.
Sadly my audience and most my clients for business are not ready for NOSTR, but they sure gain exposure to it because when I do cross post on other platforms or on my website; it is all tagged with “Published first on NOSTR” with a link to the NOSTR Read / Article.
It’s small but it’s how I’m able to contribute at this time.
Another thing I was mostly consistent at this year was “if it’s worth a Like, Comment, ReNote or QuoteNote; it’s worth a #zap “ campaign (if you’d call it that).
But I did my best to zap as frequently as I could, even if it was only a few Sats.
Which brings me to the last little win I’d reflect on, several times this year I spent sats for goods/services.

Is there no routing number for strike accounts? I thought they had partner bank(s). If so, you can order checks online. You don’t have to go through Strike (or your bank).

2. Is the aim then to live soley via nym NOSTR?
3. I assume 100% analog is not the goal…or is it? (Or perhaps 99%…)

I don’t even know what’s real anymore…
Especially this as:
1. I don’t watch news or politics so this might of actually happened.
2. I can totally see and hear Trump behaving like that
3. If this is a deep fake it’s one of the best as usually there are facial cues and ambient artifacts which leave visual clues that it’s fake.
But man I’d have to watch this one a few more times to determine

Interestingly while I'm in the top 2% on Vertex I'm only ~66% on ProfileStr and Relatr

I guess my brain is a little thrown that we even have such a thing on NOSTR.
Not saying it's bad...just surprised to have discovered it!

Hey Matt, not sure what’s going on with your back (acute vs chronic),
but I’ve had back pain nearly all my life and while ice, CBD, essential oils, and even pain meds at time dull the discomfort and make it tolerable…
A month ago I did a 48h fast followed by two weeks of bone broth only…healed my gut lining…it’s called GAPS (diet) protocol. By about 3 days in on the broth only phase my back pain was 100% gone.
Seems mine is triggered by inflammation.
Again I don’t know your scenario but maybe the above will help ya.

Good Morning Nostriches!
Thank you for your patience with my limited posting lately.
As I’m sure many of you know, sometimes life gets a bit fuller than you desire, especially with aging family near by.
I will say last week was my first time in a few decades of cutting down/up a fallen tree at my in-laws. It was fun to demonstrate proof of work with a gas powered chain saw!
(I did forget how much it can make your hammies hurt through 🤦‍♂️)
Daily life aside, I’ve been reading through the Samuels and Kings during my devotion time over the last few months.
Kings is a little fuller read than Samuels but they are important nonetheless.
If you haven’t read 1 or 2 Kings, it is basically a journal summary of how evil the Israelite kings had become. With few exceptions, they all worshiped Baal and other Canaanite gods. They defiled the Lord’s temple, mixing beliefs and sacrificing their own children
(Irily not too dis-similar from what many Christians are doing less blatantly today)
Until…we get to the end of 2 Kings and King Josiah.
While cleaning and rebuilding the Lord’s Temple, one of Joshia’s men found The Book of The Law. Upon reading it Josiah repented for all his ancestor’s generational sins and asked God “what would you have me do?”
The Lord replied with “burn it all down”…
So Josiah did. He sent his men out to all the areas where any symbol, artifact, building, or person (mainly the priests of evil/other gods and the male cult prostitutes) and Joshia’s men not only burned everything, if there was a shred of it left…they beat and trampled it all until it was mere dust.
And thus a new covanant was established between God and Israel (at that time).
Now as onlookers in today’s society we might think Josiah took drastic measures and God Himself is mean or evil…
But you see, God is just the opposite. He is so loving that when this covenant with Joshia later fell apart, God sent Jesus, His only Son to be the final blood sacrifice for the propitiation of sins.
I won’t get into all the spiritual aspects of why it had to be a blood sacrifice. There is too much to dive into there…
Let me end with this, for myself and for you.
What evil in either symbols, artifacts, simple actions (such as burning insence or herbs) are we allowing to enter our homes and our children’s lives?
I don’t believe legalism is the message of Christ but certainly “love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and soul” is…
And if that is His primary message, what idolatry do we need to eradicate out of our lives?!
