That's a great question. For me it was algorithm fatigue, censorship resistance, and a genuine/authentic feeling of community. Similar to how early bitcoin Twitter felt, but without all of the shitcoin scams and threat of account suspension.

I hear you about not storing all of your wealth in real estate, but what happens when everyone acts on this idea and sells their home for gold, btc or equities and the only ones that can afford to buy are the corporations... in the long term, this is terrifying.
