This scare me as much as Tether, Coinbase and Binance. If any of these companies would collapse for whaever reason, it will impact all Bitcoiners negatively.
We should fight to use decentralized services, local companies with small to medium size, use local merchant accepting Bitcoin. An event like a 51% attack might not happen on the blockchain but from these big companies doing shit for their own benefits only.

With Timberlake? For me it's one of this movie that build an amazing background, prepare every everything to deal with a complexe and highly interesting topic and meh... 💩💩💩 it just end up as a survive/revange/kill the bad guy, souless plot.
There are so much like that that miss a huge potential. Also a German movie about people selling their living years for money (like you can get 10 years older and the other person get 10 years younger). So many ethical implication, so much potential to portrait our society, but no fuck, second half is pure revenge plot with not expectation and a totally expected ending.
Or The Passengers. This movie should have started when the women wakes up, and we discover later what the man did before as she figures it out. It could have been a SciFi masterpiece.

Came to say that, if you really want to play on it, mod it to get backlight. I hesitate to do that for years on my original GBA but I know I will not play much more on it anyway. I have the SP and Micro with origibal backlight and still don't play much on it. I think I even played more GB/GBC games on Switch since they added the Gameboy emulator than on GBA, and GBA games I played them mostly on 3DS as I got most of the popular games for free on it.

If you are so sure about your price prediction, you better selling every single item you have, sell your house if you have one, move to the crapiest room in a shared flat in Eastern Europe, South America, South-East Asia or Africa, take as much debt as possible and eat the cheapest crap that can make you stay alive for the next 10 years while have the shittiest well paid remote job you can get hired for. Enjoy Lugano. Just be ready to teach these commerce how to generate the lightning invoice on their terminals, by default it's a kind of Shitcoin card call Naka. You have to know that Tether distribute these terminal for free to merchants and pushed adoption of this Naka system by giving away cards with 10 bucks preloaded on it for "free", I mean against a full KYC registration of course. The terminals accept also USDT and Bitcoin on chain and Lightning. You must show the merchant how to select the Bitcoin Lightning option.
And don't be afraid of the lag, these terminals are super slow to confirm, like 10-20sec after your wallet confirm the invoice as paid, so don't panic. Beside that it's pretty cool. Mary pizzeria has nice pizza and view on the lake, but many others on the central plazza and arround are nice as well.
Don't forget to buy sats back while you spend or shortly aftet you will be back. My last visit in Lugano I spent a lot of sats and didn't buy back fast enough until it rise 20-30%

Just renewed mine, too bad. The Latvian passport is quite nice as well, and I don't think they are as wealthy as Swis.
But I would have prefer not to need a passport to travel, and by this I don't mean having a chip down my ass instead, I mean free to travel without having to dox my identity at every border, airplane, hotel and more.

AC, heat pump, frige, it's all the same.
Just back from an housing technics trade fair that was so fucking big that my feet and legs hurt more than after a trail. Litterally this event spread on a surface of 1km by 500m on more than 10 halls accros multiple floors.
Anyway, that's amazing how many companies produce these HVAC devices that are mostly looking the same, work on the same principle and still made millions out of it.
By the way be ready for the next green regulations on Europe, by 2030 all these HVAC outdoor units will use highly inflamable propane gaz, because it's more "green", as producing less CO2. When you ask if it'snsafe: "yes, we have leak detector and at worst it just goes in the outside air, it's anyway much less volume than in your BBQ gaz tank".

"Observing" that we might head to 32k is kind of bearish. I completely lost trust in cycle comparison. According to what I predicted, we should be close to the cycle ATH about one year after halving. Then there should still have chances to go higher in the next 6 months but it's getting slimmer and slimmer with time passing.

If you don't know @nprofile…6ymr channle on bitcointv.com go visit it immediatly. It's the most valuable stack of Bitcoin and privacy tutorial out there. The LN node full tutorial was used to create a "make your LN node workshop" at my local Bitcoin meetup, then I spent countless hours rewatching these videos to fix, uograde and fine tune my node. It's running much better than my Umbrel and I know everything around it, every service running, every ports open, that I can trust it much more. For sure it's not as easier, you might want start with Alby Hub, Umbrel, Start9 or another of these OS/preconfigured environnement, but eventually, if you are really serious about it, you will want to do it all by yourself, the way you need it and want it. 402's tutorial was the only sourcing helping in this way.

Yes I agree, but as a long time Proton user I know more or less how their system works. My guess is that they store the seed in your account encrypted locally the same way that they encrypt the files locally when you send them to drive. Then you can recover using you account password to download and decrypt the seed.
The weak point is the optional recovery email you might have provided, if they allow to recover the seed from recovery, not sure.
That's definitely not the same trust level and security than Sparrow with a hardware wallet or signer but if it's implemented properly that's a good way to start in Bitcoin for any Proton user.

I have always been scared by any companies getting too big in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. When MtGox, Celcius, FTX and many other failed, you would never know how close others like Coinbase, Binance, Tether... were to a similar catastrophic event.
Too big to fail is never a garantee, it's a risk for everyone. I'm from Switzerland and our 2 biggest banks, UBS and Credit Suisse, both failed in the last 2 decades.
The only risk mitigstion is decentralisation, at every levels. We should not let big company get too big and have any monopoly regarding Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and even finance in general. Well regarding every aspect of our life in fact.
Bitcoin is the only ultimate solution we have available today, eventually "stablecoin" will get obsolete as fiat will get obsolete, as Odell already mentioned.
But that is not enough to win. We must as well keep the power distributed, let hundreds, thousands of companies compete in the space for one product, one service, one region. We should embrasse this diversity to let everyone benefit and share a part of this new global, permissionless, economy.

I know WD Red are the king for NAS but here I use WD Red SSD for the important data and for apps, the Toshiba HD are just for videos, music, games and it's not so solicitated in read and write for this usage. I prefered the better cost here. In the end, whatever the brand and model it's kind of a lottery, WD red might just have more chances to last (my previous HD WD Red lasted more than 10 years, 2 of 3 are still fine in another machine, so never lost my array).

Still super expensive, I think I paid around 350-400 (~€) for a Toshiba 20TB HDD more than a year ago. I have 2 in RAID in my NAS for media storage, in addition to 2x2TB WD Red SSD for apps and documents (including photos, I like to scroll my photos as fast as possible).

La solution est très simple. Mettre une prise USB-C de 100W, compatible PD, PDD, QC4.0 sur chaque siège. Ou alors du 110 ou 230V AC. Et s'assurer qu'elles fonctionnent toujourdés, car les prises cassées j'en ai eu souvent, déjà qu'elles chargent à peine à 5W, et encore, pas de quoi charger une Switch, un casque VR ou un laptop.

I never understood the hate for other coins and project among some Bitcoiners.
We can think that Bitcoin is more interesting, more valuable, better on that and that points. But why the need to trash the others that don't believe that (yet), it brings absolutely nothing. It will just push more people away from adopting Bitcoin as they don't want to be associated with this mentality and negativity.
It's ok to joke or meme on some funny situation but wishing a fundation, with people working and many companies and project depending on it (thanks the centralization), to get liquidated, is quite harsh.
Let's build on Bitcoin, educate, offer services, exchanges knowleadge but stay open and positive is the top priority and right mindset.

Le problème vient principalement de YouTube qui n'est pas capable de protéger les créateurs. Ils sont trop à la merci des gros groupes qui ont des moyens énormes et font du lobbying pour pousser des lois en leur sens, afin que tout petit abu de droit d'auteur soit automatiquement supprimé, quitte à provoquer un grand nombre de faux positifs.
Paradoxalement ces grands groupes de media n'ont que très peu à y gagner en faisait cela alors que les petits et moyens créateurs ont tout à perdre.
On a vraiment besoin d'une alternative à YouTube qui soit beaucoup plus libre et ouverte, par example basé sur nostr, qui permetterait aux créateurs de dupliquer leur chaine, pour petit à petit migrer leur public.
