When other kind-1 apps also add kind 20 support your posts would show up there against your intention so you would need to find another solution not based on kind numbers.

Hey last time I could not find the repository for the new HiveTalk, only the old one, but if it's using LiveKit like nests then it should be easy to add support.
Just a bit hesitant to add new interop after the last nests kind number rugging so it's a bit low priority for me now, I'll take a look again in some time.

Its probably an issue related to not trying to wipe your follow list. As a workaround you can follow someone from the menu button of a post, after that it should all work like normal again.

for clients that only fetch kind 20 they wouldn’t be able to do the same when its in kind 1, so you need the extra tag to filter our the text messages. I believe Olas already does this

If the embedded kind 20 in this example was kind 1 with k-tag 20 all could work the same, all the information is in the event. But with kind 20 its broken for existing clients that haven’t implemented it yet

If you have to add special rules to handle kind 20, you can also add special rules for kind 1 with k-tag 20
Existing clients don’t need to add anything and everything would still work.

Why should I not change all publishing of Picture/Olas events in Nostur from kind 20 to kind 1 with k-tag 20. And same question with Yak/Voice Messages from 1222 to kind 1 with k-tag 1222
Seems better for network effect and backwards compatibility, what am I missing?

On Nostur if its just for your own posts you can type your name and keywords in Search. Nostur always keeps your posts in the local database. Only if you post from another client and Nostur somehow missed it it won’t find it.
I might add something so it will try harder to also find your own missed posts.
