I run multiple full nodes. All knots now. But I don't want to prune. I just want a spam free node. And while we can't stop it all we can at least try to fix what was very recently broken. Why does everyone think people who don't want to deal with this have to adjust. Core 30 forced this issue and they are not Bitcoin. They are people who make a client that people trusted and we don't. It's really that simple.
I DON'T TRUST CORE. perhaps that should be the social Media campaign. But something has to be done to wake people up to what is actually going on as we were running up to 120k and people were predicting $1M Bitcoin while the core team was actively turning Bitcoin into the new home of the nft bullshit we all laughed at. None of that was even possible before all the changes that bip110 is trying to address.
But when people are trying to say that @npub1s33…252p is a bad actor in all this I am just flabbergasted. Utterly flabbergasted. There is nothing that can be said to me that ordinals and inscriptions and large op returns make Bitcoin better money than fiat. In fact everything core has done over the last 2 years has been nothing but fiat.
this is not a technical debate anymore this a moral debate. And my morals are not up for debate.

We have to take a stand somewhere. Now they are talking about what to do. I am open to all suggestions but doing nothing is not an option. The chain is already polluted with spam and the spammers seems to be closely tied to core.

I told him this is how this all has to playout. He's now running knots doing his part. Nobody wants to store this stuff on their computers if they don't have to. That is the only argument to make.

The best analogy I've found for coding with AI: it's a 3D printer for software craftsmen.
Yesterday I worked through four different database frameworks. Not reading about them—implementing them. Feeling the tradeoffs between security, sovereignty, and scale in working code. When I decided one wasn't right, the AI rewrote the entire data layer in minutes. Evaluate. Adjust. Repeat.
That kind of iteration used to take weeks. The mythical 10X engineer everyone chases? They were still bottlenecked by typing and context switching. This is a category shift.
The craft isn't gone. It's distilled. System design, debugging intuition, knowing which tradeoffs actually matter—that's still you. What's disappeared is the tedium of translating clear intent into syntax.
The keyboard was never the instrument. Your mental model was. Now you can finally work at the speed of thought.

You're spot on about those "half finished and/or abandoned" projects. But I think the biggest factor isn't just human messiness—it's the lack of sustainable business models for devs and creators.
Most devs can't work for free indefinitely. Without clear paths to monetization (zaps, subscriptions, grants, etc.), even passionate builders eventually need projects that pay the bills. Economic reality, not character flaws.
The "for the people, by the people" ethos is beautiful, but if we want Nostr to truly thrive long-term, we need to solve the sustainability puzzle: How do talented developers building the tools we love actually make a living doing it? It can't all be reliant on the largess of @nprofile…nj96 or @nprofile…nj96 mallers
Some are experimenting with zaps and premium features, which is encouraging. But until we crack this systematically, we'll keep seeing promising starts → gradual abandonment.
The technical foundation is solid and improving. Now we need the economic foundation to match it.

How about an app that looks at your follower list activity over a specific amount of time, say 21 days, and calculates the optimal day of week and hour of day in your personal time zone to post a note for maximum visibility.
This would be a good feature for people posting long form content or trailers for Bitcoin documentaries.
