Nostr will forever fight a losing battle of user acquisition because the other places pull all the tricks to get people to stay as long as possible. Since this user base is virtuous and won’t go down that terrible path, we’ll always struggle against the massively addictive platforms with cemented walled gardens and network effects.
Only new and interesting use cases and approaches might work. Otherwise you’re limited to a tiny drip of disgruntled users who eventually come here.

It’s funny how with vibe coding nobody cares about anyone’s apps anymore.
Before you had to put in the effort - and people valued effort to give an app some attention.
But now you can make a crappy but working version of whatever in a few minutes. Low effort - low interest from people.
Even if the vibed app is more interesting and has neat features, people still don’t care because less effort went into creating it and it’s not as scarce anymore.
Scarce availability- people pay attention
Abundance - no one cares.
Based on this it might be safe to conclude that we’re not likely to see more people on nostr just from more vibe coding.
We can’t forget that the people we think we’d attract here are vibing their own apps, and burning out on their own AI playground.
So what does this all lead to?
I imagine down the road our AI tools will be so powerful but abstracted that you’ll just connect wherever and whenever without even needing to create anything. It’ll just be on demand via whatever medium you choose. Question is: how far away is this? And what happens in between now and then?

You can vibe Kinostr in Shakespeare for $5 and have your own movie platform to your liking. Here is a prompt to get you started:
Create a netflix style website with clickable movie banners with titles underneath that open up an individual movie view to watch the linked videos. We'll use Kind 1 events and filter for notes that contain the hashtag #kinostr only. The note must also contain at least one image and at least one video link to be rendered in our platform.
So in summary:

From what I’ve noticed there’s a massive ego issue among bitcoiner devs who think much less of you if you’re not a developer. Some even say you must contribute in developer capacity to have a credible opinion. Pretty much every Hollywood film misportrays warriors historically. They always use bodybuilder types with massive muscle builds but that has rarely if ever been the case. In medieval times and prior - warriors were typical citizens who took up arms. Sure, they were rugged and strong, but most were much smaller in stature and much leaner with less muscle mass. Even professional worried like the Spartans didn’t look anything like the ones in the movie 300. They were ripped in their own ways but were more planky and bulky, not shredded on a fitness machine that targets a specific muscle group 😂

Best thing you can do as a new person here is to engage in comments on other notes. If all you do is post - no matter the quality of your notes, they are not likely going to be discovered. You have to get on people’s radar first for them to be curious about who you are.
Real pfp automatically gets more attention because most of us are nyms. Ai human pfp will likely get ignored (scammer spidey senses)
