So I listened to the full 2 hours of @nprofile…zsvk on Breedlove's pod.
Many things I disagreed with, but I guess that one that stuck out was this,
That not only are the plebs and node runners wrong, and don't matter.
No, you actually don't even exist!
You're not a real person, the community uproar is just fake accounts.
Actually the majority position is that of Core.
And you should stop worrying that pretty little head of yours, and get with the program.
....
That's some pretty hardcore gaslighting. And very disingenious.
He is conflating that because the majority of the wider Bitcoin universe are not outspoken for knots, then they are pro core v30.
No, there is an information gap in Bitcoin. And these people speaking up, are the only way this information gap gets solved.
If you are talking about the engaged people in the debate , then the knots side IS bigger.
You don't get to take the silent majority side as "pro change" just because they're not paying attention.
AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM with a TRUSTED DEFAULT IMPLEMENTATION.
THE TRUST IS NOT FREE.

I'm not tech savvy enough to predict the future of lightning, but I do get the sense that it is making a little bit of a comeback (not as a complete layer 2 scaling solution), after kinda being dismissed a little bit.
It is relevant though to my post, in how close future bitcoin payments layers will be to real Bitcoin
If payments are only done through custodials, without a direct link to on-chain Bitcion, then maybe AI will not be using Bitcon...
