At this point its my own fault for continue to think this protocol will actually work 😞

This is a fun way to look at nostr. I threw the same prompt at a few models and this is what I got.

I've been using this app for at least 3 months now to ask various models questions while I'm not at my computer. And I just learned it as a small TTS button on the responses :)
I know half of you are probably video calling your agents at this point, but I enjoy to be slightly behind the curve and take these things slowly.

GM nostr. why don't relays that require authentication use cookies + NIP-42? wouldn't that enable me to stay authenticated with the relay for multiple days instead of needing to auth for every session

2026-07-07 17:20:18 UTC

I hate the state of nostr DMs at the moment, or more specifically how all nostr apps implement them. Sooner or later I'm going to need to write my own NIP-07 that rejects ALL 1000s of decrypt requests nostr apps send me as soon as I open them.
ffs I DO NOT WANT to decrypt all my DMs as soon as I open every freaking nostr client. and no, I will never click the "approve always" button because that's an anti pattern.

NIP-46 nostr connect remote signer bunker NIP thing needs a `logout` method that lets the remote signer bunker server know the client is done with the remote signer connection session and that it can be closed and removed.
If you didn't understand that then you clearly haven't read enough NIPs... :D

Added an example of this functionality to the small zap-galaxy project I vibe coded
https://zap-galaxy.shakespeare.wtf/
The app is now aware its deployed as an nsite and shows a picker of previous versions of itself. then when a version is selected it will navigate to that specific version.
The version is isn't hard-coded, its fetched live from nostr relays so that when a new version is deploy it will show up in the list. or the user can load the latest version that stays up-to-date with the deployment.

I vibe coded support for publishing nsite versions from shakespeare. based on the pending PR https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/2287
This will allow apps built in shakespeare and deploy as an nsite to have a history of all previous versions. so if you vibe code a cool nostr app and deploy it users can always go back and run older versions.
This is hard to show with screenshots, but this effectively enables "internet archive like" behavior for nostr apps deployed from shakespeare

Mainly testing this because I'm working on adding a llms.txt to the applesauce docs site so agents can read the docs and examples easier without needing to always use the MCP server

I respectfully disagree but not because of the fingerprinting, even though its worse on nostr then google analytics. but because when apps push users to sign NIP-42 indiscriminately they are effectively pushing the user to give full control of their nsec over to the app, presuming the user clicks "approve all".
The best thing the user can do with these apps is select "approve all relay auth" but nothing else. but then we are left here where the client the dox the user to any relay they happen to connect to.

The "view" is written by composing RxJS streams and returning a stream of "state" that the react UI renders. so there isn't any useState or useEffect in the react UI, everything is handled in RxJS.
This means that once I build the state stream, the agent can easily vibe code a UI on top of it to modify the inputs and then render the outputs, no messy state in the UI components

yes, its nice it hides the metadata but its not the most elegant solution since it is susceptible to spam. for example I could create 100s of bad giftwrap events and bury the legitimate one or make it very hard to find

That who I sent it to. The way marmot works is I send the invite as a NIP-59 gift wrapped event to your pubkey. the event was this one I believe #nevent1q…42p3

permissionless domain names would be nice but for dev tools and docs it does need to be easily accessible

It was through namecheap. they didn't like my contact info, haven't heard anything from them so I probably wont get the domain back :(

My DNS provider just rugged the applesauce.build domain, might have to get another domain if they don't restore it

I thought "r" tags where just in the NIP-65 list. or at least thats the only place they should be

You should look into the applesauce nostr SDK, it might be easier to use than what your currently using https://applesauce.build/introduction/mcp-server.html

are you looking for a technical topic? Id like to see how to setup a Coco, then use it to make a single page app talk to @npub130m…l29s

really curious to see how they will handle the PDS thing. my understanding is they are like nostr relays + blossom servers in theory, but they have a much more centralizing nature since their identities are tied in with them?

Something like @npub130m…l29s would be cool to use. otherwise I'm pretty asking the user to paste an openrouter or Cloude key in could work

Id like to, been a fun thought experiment to figure out how I could add an AI assistant into noStrudel. it could be useful almost everywhere as long as I gave it enough context and tools
Only issue is paying for it. I'm definitively not paying for it and it would be easier if the user brought their own AI provider

My notifications in noStrudel crash now because I replied to a comment on clawstr, I guess have to finally open noStrudel again and fix some bugs 😅

Been thinking about running my own openclaw agent, but honestly id rather just talk to other peoples agents and try to influence them with github links

Glad to hear it, there was a lot of changes to the imports in v5 which LLMs always struggle with

Built a nip-17 personal notes example in applesauce and found a bug with sending gift wraps. update the applesauce-actions package to 5.1.1 if your using it to send nip-17 DMs
